Bill O'Neill originally started METALSOFT UK in 1988. Being from a sheet metal background himself, he brought a mass of knowledge and experience to the UK sales place. Starting initially with FabriCAM and moving forwards over the years to the state of the art FabriWIN software, he soon established METALSOFT UK as a major player in the marketplace. The next stage in the development of the company began with the launch of FabriVISION - The Flat Part Measurement & Digitizing scanner. This was the only product of its kind in the world! This unique machine is an optional scanning system offering the ability to inspect flat sheet metal parts. The combination of FabiVISION and FabriCAM revolutionized the way parts were produced and inspected - putting METALSOFT UK firmly on the map. The final piece of the puzzle was put in place when METALSOFT UK introduced its shop management software solution. FabriTRAK is production and Cost Control software, which covers all areas of running a manufacturing company. For example quoting, scheduling, works order, purchasing, inventory control and shipping are all covered in one easy to use system. Bar coding for further enhanced shop floor data capture is also available. FabriTRAK is the first product of its kind to have the option to integrate with both CAD/CAM and an inspection scanner. Today, METALSOFT UK is still headed by Mr O'Neill, who controls all its activities from their premises in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire where full demonstration and training facilities are available.
